Day 3 – Cabot Landing & Money Point Gulch
Day three of Hike the Highlands Festival – Another overcast day with 70% chance of showers but it did not discourage any of the hikers. Close to twenty hikers enjoyed the Cabot Landing Beach walk led by guide Shaune Warren and the historic significance of this provincial park. Another 30 hikers enjoyed the Money Point Gulch hike led by veteran guide David Rasmussen. The view on top of the gulch was spectacular along the scenic look-off of Bay St Lawrence coming down the hill at the end of the hike. Interesting weather note it was sunny and 19 degrees at Money Point where in Ingonish dark, cold & cloudy all day. It was a day to dress in layers.
