Thank-you Hikers
A big thank-you goes out to all the hikers who participated in the 2020 Hike the Highlands Virtual Festival. It was a new concept for us and you supported us in this difficult year. Our team had to think outside the box and learn from other virtual events. A virtual festival can be held anywhere and continues to involve you in hiking and other daily activities. Hikers were from Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland & Labrador, and Nova Scotia as well from the states of Massachuetts and Colorado. Thank-you to the Board of Directors, Volunteers and spouses for their great support & time for hosting & implementing our virtual hiking festival.
Thank-you to all the virtual events out there that gave us the insight, the ideas and the inspiration to put on a virtual festival. It can be done and it is important that we move forward.
Thank-you to all the presenters and people interviewed for their time, patience, understanding and knowledge in sharing with others valuable information.
Thank-you to the hikers who followed public health regulations and social distancing while hiking during the festival. Your kindness to others and respecting their space (6 feet) is important. It keeps us safe on the trails.
And finally thanks to the Technology, hardware, software and Seaside High-Speed to getting this done online.
