New 2012 Compact Digital Cameras Great for Hikers
This winter has brought a number of new point and shoot digital compact cameras announcements that have caught my eye as well many other hikers. They are small in size, lots of great features such as GPS, long zooms,1080P videos, high megapixels, touch screens and much more. They are perfect for hikers capturing those special moments or scenery shots in 2012. Canon started it off in early January with the announcement of the new Canon G1X and ELPH Series.
Then Panasonic followed with its announcement of its Lumix ZS20 compact digital camera with 20 X optical zoom, 14. 1 meg, with GPS , 1080P videos, touch screen and more.
And finally Nikon announces 9 new cameras in its coolpix lines including the P510 with its amazing 42x optical zoom, and P310. Another camera catching my eye is the S9300 – a small compact camera with 16 megapixels, 18X zoom, GPS , 1080 P video, easy panoramic and a revamped optical stabilization system. Other new models include S6300, S30, P810, S4300, S3300, and L26.
Most of these new cameras will be available sometime in February or March so it is wise to wait awhile to read the reviews as well try them at your local camera store. It plans to be exciting season for nature & landscaping photography with these great new cameras.
