Nikon has come out with a number of new cameras this spring. The latest is the Nikon Coolpix S9900 . It is a great camera for hikers. It is lightweight and can fit in your pocket or small camera bag that can be attached to your hiking pants or daypack. The camera features a 30 X optical zoom, 3″ Vari-angle LCD display, HD 1080p video recording at 30 fps, GPS, WiFi, NFC Connectivity ISO 6400, 7 fps Continuous Shooting Mode Dial, Full Manual Exposure Control.
You can take approximately 300 photos with the EN-EL 12 rechargeable battery however you can only charge the battery while it is in the camera. The camera goes in two colours black or silver.
