Registration


Online Registration & online payment for the 22nd Annual Hike the Highlands Festival, September 13-19,2025, is now open ( March 29, 2025 at 12:01 pm.) Save money $20.00 - 25.00 by doing early bird registration.  Early bird registration closes on Friday, August 1st, 2025 at 11:30 pm. 

Online Registration is a two step process: 1) register for your hikes, and 2) pay online for your pass.

Early bird registration – Save money$$ by registering early. Regular price in brackets (ie:  $120.00).
 
Buy a festival pass only if you have a Cape Breton Highlands National Park Pass already. All hikers who hike in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park require a Park Pass. 

Some tips for online payment:

1) Make sure you allow pop-up windows. Go into settings or preference in your browser :  Safari, Google Chrome or Firefox,  to allow or enable pop-up windows.

2) When you click pay online it will take you to the eventbrite site. Click get tickets on the eventbrite site, then find the pass you want and use the plus sign to get the number of tickets you require. Most only require one. Then click checkout. Up comes another window. This window is called Billing info. It asks for a name and email address.  Once completed, click place order. You will be then taken to PayPal for payment. You can pay two ways –  through a PayPal account or a credit card. Recommend the credit card. Click on pay with a credit card or debit card. Follow instructions and complete.

Registration notes:

1) If you purchase the festival pass & park pass your registration fees includes the following – all guided hikes, evening activities & presentations, open & closing ceremonies, a Cape Breton Highlands National Park pass & hiker distance award and photo contest.  You will pick up your registration package at the festival headquarters at St. John’s Hall, 35981 Cabot Trail, Ingonish, Nova Scotia. Please note: You are required to have a park pass when hiking in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

2) If you purchase the festival pass only your registration fee includes all guided hikes,  evening activities & presentations, open & closing ceremonies, hiker distance award program, photo contest.  You will pick up your registration package at the festival headquarters at St. John’s Hall, 35981 Cabot Trail, Ingonish, Nova Scotia. Please note: You are required to have a park pass when hiking in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. If you purchase a festival pass only, this assumes you already have a park pass.

Saturday, Sept. 13 – 8:00am – 8:00pm.
Saturday Sept. 14 – 8:00am – 8:00pm.
Sunday, Sept 15 – 8:00am – 10:00am, 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
Monday, Sept. 16 – 8:00am – 10:00am, 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
Tuesday, Sept. 17 – 8:00am – 10:00am.
Wednesday, Sept. 18 -  8:00am – 10:00am.
Thursday, Sept. 19 – 8:00am – 10:00am, 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
Friday, Sept. 20 – 8:00am – 10:00am, 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
