Hike the Highlands Guides and Sweeps Ready to Greet Hikers
Recently, the Guides & Sweeps of the Hike the Highlands Festival met for training at Middle Head Hiking Trail in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Ingonish Beach. The hike was led by Jocelyne Quann, a Park Interpreter with Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
Known for her love of nature and wit, Jocelyne provided a wonderful 2 hour hike of Middle Head and the history of the area.
As you can see in the above group picture it was a sunny day and we are hopeful there will be many more during the festival. Our meterologist Bill Danielson is a guide in our festival and will be watching the weather closely. The guides were then treated to lunch after their hike and met for a few hours to go over their manual & complete their classroom training with some exercises. You can tell they are ready and can’t wait to meet the hikers again.
